Sixty centimetres of band, which is the whole point
Berets are usually cut small, and a small beret has to be balanced rather than worn. It perches, it rides up, and by the end of the morning it has left a line across your forehead. The maker gives the band on this one as 60cm. That extra room changes how it sits: pull it back off the face, drop it to one side, or wear it low over the ears, and it stays where you put it instead of gripping at the temples.
The body is a dense felted fabric, milled until the surface closes up. There is no stitch to find and no seam across the crown, only a soft matted nap that takes the light the way suede does. A small self-fabric topknot sits at the centre, the old marker of a proper beret, and a smooth printed lining runs edge to edge inside so the felt never sits directly on your hair. A little leather-look tab is stitched to the side band.
Fit
One size. The maker gives the inner band as 60cm, which is generous for a womens beret and is the reason to choose this one over a standard 57cm. Measure round your head just above the ears: most people land between 54cm and 58cm and will have room to spare. The one buyer who has written about fit has a larger head than average and found it close rather than loose, so if you measure at or above 60cm, treat this as a snug fit rather than a roomy one. Felt eases a little with wear, but it does not stretch the way a knit does.

We do not name a fibre for this beret. The maker publishes no composition and no sewn-in content label appears in any photograph of it, so we would rather say nothing than guess.
No care label is published either. Treat it as a felt hat: brush it, reshape the crown by hand, leave it flat to dry. Do not wash it and do not iron it.
Made in China.
Four colours: Rosehip, Fudge, Butterscotch and Starling.
