Faux leather that is lined for the cold, not just cut for the look
These black faux leather trousers are made for the months when a leather-look trouser usually stays in the wardrobe. The outer face is a coated faux leather with a fine, close grain and a low even sheen. Behind it runs a brushed fleece lining that carries on down to the hem, so the trousers stay warm without any extra bulk on the leg. The rise is high and the waistband flat, with belt loops, a single button and a zip fly, two curved pockets at the front and a plain back with no pockets at all, which is what keeps the seat smooth.
The leg is a straight column from the hip down, cut full enough to break over a boot or a trainer, with a 103 cm outside leg on the smallest size. Wear them with a fine knit and a flat shoe on a cold Tuesday, then with a heel and a blazer when it matters. They read as a considered trouser rather than a going-out one.
Fit
High rise, straight leg, full length. Sized XS to XL, which we map to UK 6 to 14 from the maker’s own measurements. The coated finish has only a little give, so take the larger size if you are between two. Full measurements are in the size guide next to the size selector.
