The neckline does the work
A boat neck top is the quiet trick of an autumn wardrobe: one clean line drawn straight across the collarbone, and whatever you put with it looks considered. Sherston cuts that line wide and shallow, from shoulder point to shoulder point, and finishes it with a plain narrow edge rather than a ribbed band. Worn as it falls it sits level. Pull it across and it settles off one shoulder.
The cloth is a fine viscose-rich stretch jersey, light and soft against the skin, with gathers stitched into both side seams at the waist. They draw the front in where it counts, keep the shape through a long day and lift the hem into a gentle curve.
Fit
Slim and cut close, with a good deal of stretch, so it sits smooth rather than loose. Long sleeves taper to a plain flat cuff. The hem falls at the hip and rises a little at the sides. A size S measures 82 cm around the bust, 60 cm from shoulder to hem and 55 cm along the sleeve. Sizes run UK 8 to 16; the full chart is in the size guide next to the size selector. If you would rather have a little more room over the bust, take the next size up.
