Faux leather, cut like a tailored trouser and stopped at the ankle
These brown faux leather trousers borrow their whole shape from tailoring. The rise is high and the waistband flat, the leg runs straight from the knee and narrows just enough to sit clean on the ankle bone, and a soft pressed crease holds the line down the front of each leg. There is a proper zip fly and a single button at the waist, two curved pockets at the front, and a plain back with no pockets at all, which is what keeps the seat smooth.
The finish is a coated faux leather with a fine, close grain and a soft satin sheen. It lifts along a fold and stays quiet everywhere else, so the trousers read as a considered piece rather than a going-out one. Wear them with a fine knit and a flat loafer through the week, then swap the loafer for a heel and leave the ankle showing.
Fit
High rise, straight leg, ankle length. The front rise measures 29 cm on a size S, so the waistband sits at the natural waist rather than on the hip, and the hem opens to 35 cm on the same size. Sized S to XXL, which we map to UK 6 to 16. Coated faux leather has only a little give, so take the larger size if you are between two.
