A brown skirt cut on a quiet A line, in a thick brushed cloth that holds its shape and falls without fuss. It sits at the natural waist, skims the hip and opens gently to a mid calf hem. In Bog Oak, a very dark warm brown, or Gesso, a soft undyed off white.
Design
The waistband is flat and clean across the front, with two belt loops and a small silver stud at each end, and gathered on elastic across the back so it gives where it should. Two slanted pockets sit at the top of the hips, each finished with a stud at either end. There is no zip and no button: it pulls on. A vent at the centre back keeps your stride easy.
The cloth
A soft touch brushed cloth, closely woven and then raised to a short velvety nap. It is matte all the way through, with no shine and no sheen, and the same colour on both faces. Warm without weight, and it presses flat under a coat.
Fit
- True to size. Sizes M to XXXL, which we read as UK 12 to 20.
- Mid calf length: 77 cm on the M, rising to 81 cm on the XXXL.
- The back of the waistband is elasticated, so the waist gives well beyond the figure shown in the size guide next to the size selector.
