A burgundy dress with nothing to prove
Fluid satin, a high round neck, a clean sleeveless armhole and a column that runs from the shoulder to just above the ankle. It catches the light when you move and holds its line when you stand still. Worn on its own for the evening, or over a fine knit for the rest of the year.
Fit
Cut lean through the chest and waist, then released into a gentle A-line that falls clear of the floor. It skims rather than clings. The cloth has no stretch, so take your usual size and size up if you are between two. The length is about 132 cm from shoulder to hem on a UK 10. Sizing runs XS to XXL, UK 6 to 18, and the body measurements are in the size guide next to the size selector.
Wear it with
A flat shoe and a long coat by day, a low heel and bare arms in the evening. Both colours sit easily beside camel, chocolate and cream.
