Burgundy jumper
A burgundy jumper cut short and wide, in a brushed marl that reads deep wine from across a room and finely flecked up close. The shape carries the piece: raglan sleeves, a ribbed funnel neck that stands on its own, and a deep rib at the hem that holds the line.
Design
The yarn is brushed to a short soft nap, matte and warm to the hand. The neck is a single band of vertical rib standing clear of the collarbone, not folded over and not rolled. On each side a raglan seam runs from the neckline out to the underarm, so there is no shoulder line to sit on and the sleeve falls where it likes. The sleeves are full and straight down to a narrow ribbed cuff, and the body finishes in a wide band of rib.
Fit
Cut short and boxy, with a lot of room through the body. The hem lands at the natural waist, so it sits over a high-waisted trouser or a skirt rather than over the hip. Sizes S to L, UK 8 to UK 14.
