A burgundy satin skirt that does the dressing for you

It sits high on the waist, runs close over the hip, then opens steadily into a wide sweep that finishes at the ankle. The cut is on the bias, so the satin moves as one piece instead of hanging in panels. The lustre does the rest, catching the light down every fold, which is the difference between an occasion skirt and a plain one. Wear it with a fine knit through the week and with a heel when it matters.

Fit

High on the natural waist, close over the hip, then released into a steady A-line so the hem is the widest part of the skirt. The hem sweeps about one and a half times the width of the waistband. It falls to the ankle on most heights. Closed all the way round, with no slit. These are Asia sizing and the labels run small, so go by the UK column in the size guide next to the size selector.
