Camel Jumper in a Fine-Spun Crew Neck Knit
The Avington is the camel jumper that does the quiet work. A clean crew neck in a fine, densely knitted yarn, light enough to keep on under a coat all day and warm enough that you stop thinking about it.
Design and fabric
This is a fine-gauge plain knit with a soft, barely there nap, so the surface holds the light instead of shining under it. The sleeves are raglan, which means a single unbroken line runs from the neckline to the underarm and nothing sits across the shoulder: the jumper moves with you and lies flat under a blazer or a coat. A narrow ribbed collar, ribbed cuffs and a deep ribbed hem hold the shape.
How it wears
Camel is the colour that makes everything around it look considered: chocolate, cream, charcoal, denim, all of it. Calico is the warm undyed ecru that does the same job from the other end of the palette. Both are light enough to layer over a shirt and neat enough to wear on their own with tailoring.
Fit
