The camel coat, cut to the knee
Camel is the coat colour that does the most work: it sits over navy, grey, black and denim without being asked twice. This one stops at the knee, which is the length you can wear over a dress and over jeans. It buttons straight up the front, and the collar is wide enough to turn up when the wind changes.
Design and fabric
A dense brushed coating with a soft matte nap and enough body to hold a line rather than cling. The collar is broad and flat, with rounded lapels that lie across the shoulders and open into a soft V. The front is single breasted and closes on five buttons in a horn finish, the top one tucked under the lapel. Two plain patch pockets sit at the hip with a vertical opening, so they stay flat under the hand. A belt in the same cloth ties at the waist, or at the back if you prefer the front left clean.
Fit
Cut to layer. There is room for a jumper underneath without pulling across the back, and the body falls in a soft A line rather than straight down. Take your usual size. Full measurements are in the size guide next to the size selector.
