A cashmere beanie knitted fine and plain
Most beanies announce themselves with a thick ribbed band. This one does not. The knitting is a fine, flat stocking stitch that runs unbroken from the gathered crown to the very last row, where it stops at a single chained edge no thicker than the stitch itself. One layer of cloth, softly brushed, and nothing else.
It is cut deep. Worn as it comes, it settles back off the brow into a quiet slouch. Turn the edge up once and it sits shorter and closer, with a narrow roll at the front. Two hats, depending on the morning.
Fit
One size. The knit has a slight give and sits close without gripping. There is no elastic and no ribbed band, so nothing digs in along the hairline. Full measurements are in the size guide beside the colour selector.
Details
- Cashmere. The maker's own composition label gives the shell fibre as cashmere, and their listing states 100% cashmere. We quote that figure as theirs rather than claim it as tested.
- Fine plain knit, gently brushed. No rib, no cable, no pompom.
- Gathered crown, single chained raw edge, unlined, one thickness throughout.
- One size, 25 cm wide and 26 cm high, laid flat and unstretched, as published by the maker.
- Machine wash at 30°C maximum. Do not bleach. Dry flat. Cool iron, 150°C maximum. Dry-cleanable.
- Made in China.
- Five colours: Gull Grey, Coal, Doeskin, Malt, Linen.
