A cashmere scarf long enough to wrap twice
One hundred and eighty centimetres of it, forty wide. That length is what lets it go twice around the neck and still hang, instead of sitting in one tight loop under the chin. Knitted fine and flat, so the bulk stays low even doubled.
The yarn is brushed after knitting, which lifts a soft haze on the surface and takes the shine out of it. Both ends are finished with a narrow rib band and stop there: no fringe, no tassels, nothing to catch on a coat button. The long edges are left clean.
Cashmere, as the maker states it
This scarf is made in two qualities and the maker gives the composition of each. This is the one they list as 100% cashmere, from Alxa in Inner Mongolia. No composition label appears on any photograph of the piece itself, so we quote their figure as theirs rather than claim it as tested.
