A jacket with no collar at all
The neckline here is simply an edge. It runs straight over the shoulder and falls into a deep open V on the chest, with nothing folded over, nothing standing up and nothing to turn down. It is the whole point of the jacket, and it is why a polo neck underneath reads as deliberate rather than bulky.
The belt does the fastening
There are no buttons, no zip and no hooks anywhere on it. The two front panels cross over one another and a narrow tie cut from the same cloth holds them there, knotted wherever you want the waist to sit. Pull it in and the body blouses softly above it. Leave it loose and the whole thing falls open like a short coat.
The shape is generous. The shoulder drops well past the arm, the sleeve stays wide the whole way down to a plain open cuff, and the hem stops at the hip. The cloth is a soft brushed double-faced weave with a short matte nap, closer to a blanket than to a suiting, and the front edges, the cuffs and the hem are all cut clean and left unfinished.
The front is one unbroken sheet of cloth. No pockets show anywhere on it, and that is exactly what keeps the line so quiet.
Fit
Cut roomy, with around twenty four centimetres of ease through the chest, so take your usual size and expect an easy, enveloping shape rather than a close one. There is room for a jumper underneath without going up a size. The hem lands at the hip on most heights. Full measurements are in the size guide next to the size selector.
