A herringbone coat cut like tailoring
Broad brown herringbone, woven from a dark yarn and a pale ecru one so the cloth reads as one warm brown until you are close enough to see the zigzag. The double-breasted front closes on six buttons in two columns of three, dark and faintly marbled, and the notch lapels roll back to the top pair. Nothing sits on the chest: both panels run clean from the shoulder seam to the buttons.
The cut
This is a tailored coat, not a wrap and not an oversized one. Structured shoulders, a close body, flap pockets at the hip, and a hem that lands on the lower calf. One long vent at the back keeps it walking. Three small buttons finish each cuff, and it is lined right through.
Fit
Cut close to the body, with roughly 14 to 18 cm of ease at the bust. It layers over a shirt or a fine knit; for a heavy jumper underneath, take the next size up. Full measurements sit in the size guide next to the size selector.
