Follow the care label on each piece. As a rule: cool wash, reshape and dry flat, keep away from direct heat.
A knitted midi skirt with two deep patch pockets and a drawstring tie, cut in a brushed knit that feels closer to a jumper than to a skirt.
The knit is the point of it. It is a fine, dense plain knit with a brushed finish, matte and soft under the hand, and it carries enough weight to hang in clean folds rather than cling. From the waist the skirt widens steadily into a full A-line, so it swings as you walk and then settles. Wear it with a fine-gauge jumper tucked in, which is what the drawstring waist is there for, or with a shirt and boots. It is the piece that turns a jumper you already own into a knitted co-ord.
The fit
The waistband is a band of fine ribbing, elasticated the whole way round, with a flat knitted cord threaded through it and tied in a bow at the front. It pulls on: there is no zip, no button and no hook anywhere on the skirt. Below the waistband the body is smooth over the hip, then flares evenly to a level hem with no slit. The length reads as a long midi, 79 cm on an M and 81 cm on an L measured from the top of the waistband, which puts the hem at mid calf on most heights. Two sizes only, M and L, which we read as UK 8 to 10 and UK 12 to 14. One thing worth knowing before you choose: the maker publishes no waist measurement at all, only that the waist is elasticated, so the UK sizes in the size guide next to the size selector are our own reading of the garment rather than the maker's, and the elastic does most of the work between the two.

The maker gives no fibre composition and no percentage, and none of its photographs shows a composition label, so we do not name a fibre here
The maker does not say whether the skirt is lined, and none of its photographs shows the inside
Cold gentle wash and dry flat, our own recommendation as the maker gives no care instructions
Length is the garment measured flat from the top of the waistband; to fit waist is a body measurement. The maker publishes no waist figure, only that the ribbed waist is elasticated, so the UK sizes here are our own reading and the elastic spans the range shown. Allow 1 to 3 cm.

The size guide next to the size selector gives the actual garment measurements in cm, and our pieces are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, sizing up gives an easier fit and matching the closer measurement gives a neater fit.
