The pair you keep in a coat pocket all winter
Sheepskin leather, cut close to the hand, with a knitted lining that does the warming so the glove itself can stay slim. The back of the hand is plain, the wrist gathers into a soft ruche, and the fingertips work on a screen, so a message gets answered without anything coming off.
The leather
The maker names the outer as high-end sheepskin, a genuine leather with a fine close grain. Buyers say the same in their own words: sewn from real leather, and it smells of it. We have not seen a composition label, so we name the leather and stop there. No percentage is claimed.
The lining
A knitted lining the maker states as a seventy per cent wool blend. That is what separates these from a plain unlined leather glove in January, and it does it without the bulk of a pile lining.
Fit
Sizes 7 to 9, chosen on palm circumference rather than a letter. Measure around the fullest part of your hand with the thumb tucked in, then match it to the table next to the size selector. Fingertip to cuff edge is 28 to 30 cm in every size. Several buyers found the fingers on the short side, so if you are between sizes, or your fingers are long, take the larger one.
