A long black dress, cut full and finished properly
This is the long black dress that covers the whole week. The V is deep and bound with a fine self-fabric cord, the sleeves are short and softly puffed, and the skirt is gathered into the waist and falls all the way to the ankle. Wear it on its own in the evening and under a heavy cardigan on a Tuesday.
Design and cloth
One corded seam runs down from the point of the V and opens into a curved yoke beneath the bust, with fine pleats flanking the neckline on each side. The back neck is plain and high, so the shape stays quiet from behind. The cloth is a fine crinkled weave, viscose-rich, dry to the hand and completely matte, and there is enough of it in the skirt to move properly when you walk.
Fit
Loose through the body and long: 123 cm from the shoulder on a size S and 129 cm on XXL, which puts the hem at the ankle on most heights. The back waist is a wide band of shirred elastic, so it gives, and the waist figure in the size guide is the relaxed one. Two things worth knowing before you choose a size. The sleeve is cut close through the armhole, so lifting your arms lifts the dress with them. And if you are between sizes across the bust, take the larger one. - Shell 75% viscose, 25% polyamide. Lining 98% polyester, 2% elastane
- Lined. The cloth is fine and lets a little light through, and the lining stops short of the hem
- Colours: Black, and Candlelight, which is a warm milky off-white rather than a bright white

- Care: cool hand wash, do not bleach, dry flat in the shade, cool iron
