A silk shirt cut to be worn on an ordinary Tuesday. It is 93% mulberry silk with 7% elastane, so it keeps the weight and the quiet lustre of real silk, and it moves.
Design
The front is the whole idea. One small button closes the collar stand, then the placket runs clean and unbroken to the hem, so nothing interrupts the fall of the cloth. A point collar sits on a stand. The sleeves are set with a soft gather at the shoulder and finish in a deep barrel cuff fastened by two buttons. The hem curves, a little longer at the centre back, so it sits well tucked into tailoring or left out over denim.
Why you will reach for it
Silk usually asks you to be careful with it. The elastane changes that. There is enough recovery in the cloth to get through a meeting, a train and a long lunch, and still look deliberate at the end of it.
Fit
Regular fit with a relaxed shoulder. The body is a shorter, tuck friendly length. Silk hangs best with a little room, so take the larger size if you are between two. Full measurements are in the size guide, next to the size selector.
