The striped shirt, cut with room in it
Fine blue and white Bengal stripes, about four millimetres wide, on a shirt that is deliberately bigger than your size. The point collar is worn open, the shoulder line sits well past the shoulder, and the body falls straight to the hip. It goes over a vest in September and under a jumper by November.
The stripe is cut on the run for the body and turned sideways for the collar, the back yoke and the cuffs. It is a small thing and it is the reason the shirt does not look plain from behind.
Fit
Oversized, with a dropped shoulder and a straight body finishing at the hip. There is a consistent 28 cm of ease over the body measurement at every size, so take your usual size. Long sleeves, two-button cuffs. Full measurements are in the size guide next to the size selector.

- Point collar on a stand, worn open at the neck
- Five-button front placket, plain and unbranded, with the lower quarter left bare
- Back yoke with a centre box pleat
- Two-button barrel cuffs with a button on the sleeve placket above
- Curved shirttail hem, longer at the back
- No pockets
- Blue Bengal Stripe and Harebell Blue are woven in a basketweave with a fine two-tone grain. Bright White is a smooth, flat weave
