Gloves you can keep on. Short at the wrist, close to the hand, and lined the whole way through with a deep brushed pile, so the cold stops at the seam.
The cut
A classic wrist-length dress glove. Separate fourchettes are set between the fingers so the hand closes without the leather-look pulling across the knuckles, the thumb sits in a shaped gusset, and the wrist finishes on a plain folded edge with one line of topstitching. No cuff, no strap, nothing to snag on a coat sleeve. A single raised rib runs down the back of the hand and a fine looped stitch follows the outside edge.
The material
A soft-touch leather-look outer with a fine uneven grain, matte rather than glossy. Inside, a dense brushed fleece that reaches into every finger. The maker lists the outer as synthetic leather and the lining as polyester, and we quote that as given.
On the phone
The maker describes the gloves as touch screen across the whole palm and the back of the hand rather than through a patch at the fingertips, which is why there is no contrast pad to see. A map or a call at the bus stop, without bare hands.
Fit
- Four sizes on the standard glove scale: S is a 7, M a 7.5, L an 8, XL an 8.5.
- They run small. Measure round the widest part of your palm with the thumb tucked in, and if you fall between two sizes take the larger one.
